The medals designed by a recognized Silesian sculptor and medallist, Zygmunt Brachmański, were made in the Katowice-based workshop of Andrzej Gajda.

Award of the mayor of Katowice, Piotr Uszok (PLN 4 thousand) for the best contestant from Katowice – Szymon Bywalec (Poland).
Award of the Katowice Radio (PLN 5 thousand) for the best rendition of a Polish contemporary oeuvre – Stephen Ellery for his rendition of the 1st Symphony by A. Dziadek.
Award of the Rotary Club International (PLN 4 thousand) for the youngest finalist – Michał Nesterowicz.
Award of Zofia and Antoni Wit (PLN 4 thousand) for the best Polish contestant who did not qualify to the final– Szymon Bywalec.
Award of the Crescendum est Polonia Foundation (grant for the amount of USD 10 thousand) for a Polish finalist – Michał Nesterowicz.
Awards of the Polish Music Publishing House - Tao Lin (a set of scores of music by Polish composers) and Stephen Ellery (a set of books).
Award of the Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic – Massimiliano Caldi.
Award of students of the State General School of Music in Katowice Master of the Baton – Stephen Ellery.
